I am a qualified Psychiatric Nurse with 20 years specialised in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). In 2017 I qualified as Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist specialised in Play Therapy. I have a passion for working with young people and their families to provide expert clinical knowledge in the area of youth mental health. I combine my Advanced Nursing clinical background with my psychotherapy training to provide a collaborative approach to individualise support.
I provide creative child and adolescent psychotherapy & play therapy working from a humanistic and integrative model therapeutically which is trauma informed. Separately I provide a service which offers specific support in the area of ADHD supporting in assessment and intervention in this area. I am a fully accredited member of NMBI , IAPTP & EIAP.

Play Therapy
Play therapy helps children understand confused feelings and upsetting events. Rather than having to explain what is troubling them.
Children use play to communicate at their own level and at their own pace. It is a developmentally appropriate intervention.
Play therapy can help children process big feelings and can support with social anxiety, school-based concerns, grief, loss and separation, developmental concerns and emotional regulation to name a few.
Adolescent Psychotherapy
Therapy provides a non-judgemental space for young people to explore their concerns.
It supports young people and adolescents who may be struggling with mental distress; such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal distress, grief and loss, sexuality concerns, abuse, relationships with peers and families, school-based stressors, bullying, cyber bullying and emotional dysregulation.
Parent Consultation
This a Parents/ Guardians only consultation where we discuss concerns and strategies to support areas of concern. Its a beneficial appointment to discuss appropriate readiness for therapy
